Advice needed please

This group states its for chats and sales - some advice please - My 2007 motorhome tells me the above about the leisure battery, but all the things I read online tell me if my leisure shows 12v its dead !! So 10v is what ??? Am getting very confused on how to assess at what point my battery is half charge and in need of more charge ?! I repeatedly overcharged my last one unwittingly (long story) and that was really scary so am now getting concerned about the conflicting information - any direction appreciated
