2003 bmw 318i auto swop

2003 bmw 318i auto 235000km service book till 205000km needs some tlc Right front window cable needs replacing the car drives daily sometimes in 2 or 3 days time it just cuts off then have to wat a few minutes then start and go again dont know whats wrong? Dont have funds to fix need to swop for another car! Why? Im based in pretoria Waverley. 066.10.59869
